Even if you don't know it, we all have different skills & abilities.  When it comes to getting a job, sometimes the hardest part is giving examples of our skills etc...

Understanding Different Skills

Sometimes in interviews, or when filling out an application form, the way questions are asked can throw you off and you lose sight of what you are being asked.

Reliability

Employees like to be reassured that they will be able to count on you once you are working for them.  Turning up to work on time.  Not taking too many sicks days.

Examples of Using Your Initiative

When you are asked about using your initiative what your interviewers are wanting to find out is how much you can think for yourself.

Planning things

Being creative/inventive - coming up with new ideas on how to do something

Communication Skills (talking to/dealing with people)

Being able to build up working relationships with your workmates and customer.

Business/Computer Skills (Information Technology)

Typing skills...

Written communication (writing letters/emails)

Emailing or writing to someone in a work relate situation is quite different to the way you would write to a friend.

Paper work and numbers

Problem solving

Practical and Mechanical skills (fixing or repairing things)

 Building up confidence in yourself
