CHIP+ holds general information on syndromes and conditions, benefits, education, funding, holidays, plus an extensive lending library containing books for parents, young people and professionals. In conjunction with The Highland Council CHIP+ produced a series of fact sheets on the new Additional Support for Learning Act and provides free seminars on this subject.
CHIP+ can support families to prepare for meetings, particularly in relation to education. Our staff can also attend the meetings, providing moral support, taking notes and ensuring points that families wish to make are not forgotten.
In addition CHIP+ produces a quarterly newsletter, information packs (on Autism, ADHD and a general pack aimed at parents) plus a transition booklet for young people with additional needs leaving school.
Our services are completely confidential and free of charge.
