Problems at work
So, you've got the job, you like it, but you're struggling to get on with the boss or someone else in the office. Don't panic ! Conflict at work is inevitable but there are ways to deal with it and keep your job. And there are people who can help you do that.

- Talk to someone about it as soon as you can
If you can't talk to your line manager, try to talk to someone in Human Resources and try to work out beforehand exactly what the problems are. What is it that is making work difficult for you? What can be done to improve the situation?
Sometimes involving someone from outside the organisation can help. A trained mediator can help you sit down with the other person involved and try to reach agreement on a way forward. Its confidential, the mediator doesn't take sides but will help you talk to each other, and nothing is fed back to your line manager or HR unless thats what you want.
It can help you re-establish important relationships at work and start enjoying your job again! Your employer would need to agree to mediation and they would pick up the cost.
