Your local library is something you should really take advantage of.   If you check out our A-Z directory you'll be able to find where your nearest library is.  If there isn't one near you then there will most definately be a mobile library for you to use.  Not only do libraries have books they have newspapers, CDs, and DVDs for you to borrow too, and all (excluding the mobile libraries and Knoydart) have free internet access.

You can use the library as a free place to go to have a bit of quiet time to yourself.  It is a great place to go if you want to check online or in newspapers for jobs.  Or, it is a great place to go whenever you are in need of information on a wide range of subjects, and there will always be helpful staff there to give you a helping hand.
